EMPLOYMENT ISSUES

The G20 priority is to provide quality jobs that are sufficient for those who lost their jobs due to the 2008 economic crisis and to overcome unemployment rates that are still very high in many G20 countries.At the Brisbane Summit (November 2015), the focus of the discussion was the preparation of the National Employment Plan which contained commitments such as increasing competence, quality and productivity of labor, creating a conducive work climate for harmonious industrial relations, increasing intensity and law enforcement, and improving the functioning of labor market institutions and placement facilities. The President of Turkey formed the Employment Working Group (EWG) with a mandate to discuss three main priorities, namely employment and growth relations, skills and quality employment, and monitoring. Implementation of the National Employment Plan in each of the G20 countries.
